Hazard identification and risk assessment are the “heart” of Occupational Health & Safety.
- Hazard is anything that can cause injury or illness to a person, damage or destruction to equipment or facility, impact on the environment or even negatively affect the operation and / or the reputation of a company.
- Risk is the combination of probability and severity of a new event that causes a hazard.
It is a basic condition for the preparation of the Occupational Risk Assessment Study.
